Wednesday, October 22, 2014. Among many other things, my mom instilled in me the very strong habit of picking apples every year. It's always fun, always worth the effort, and I get to make delicious apple treats for weeks thereafter. This year, I went with just Sister, and I'm kind of glad because it was a bit of a fiasco. For Christmas this year, my friend gave me a little jar of cappuccino peanut butter. It was tasty, unique, and she thought it'd make a perfect little gift. Saturday, August 31, 2013. On our second morning in Granada, we woke up to a beautiful view of the convent's central garden. We weren't invited to explore it, as that's the personal property of the nuns in residence. The above photo was taken through the glass door near the front entrance. We spent Saturday morning at the Alhambra. Joel made friends with a little guy whose parents are working in Granada full-time. He was a pro at smelling all the beautiful flowers :). Saturday, August 31, 2013. Monday through Friday of our ten days in Granada was spent with 25 teenagers at the English camp run by the local church. Joel and I both worked with the teen camp, which was right up his alley and quite a stretch for me. I think it's safe to say we had an awesome time with those kids!
