Be careful of your thoughts,. For your thoughts become your words. Be careful of your words,. For your words become your deeds. Be careful of our deeds,. For your deeds become your habits. Be careful of your habits,. For your habits become your character. Be careful of your character,. For your character becomes you destiny. Great is the Lord - Starfield. If all I've done. At last should come to nothing. And all I love, like sand be washed away. Still I will sing. Of Your unfailing glory. I give my life.

zawadi: Honeymoon in Turkey
http://lahjajohanna.blogspot.com/2012/11/honeymoon-in-turkey.html
Sultanahmet mosque in Istanbul. Casey surprised me with a wonderful week and a half in Turkey for our honeymoon :). We spent a few days in Istanbul and then about a week on the Mediterranean, about 80km SW of Antalya, in a town called Çirali. Here we are leaving Helsinki. Casey's family and friends left at the same time so we got to say good-bye at the airport. One of the mausoleums connected to the Hagia Sophia. One of my favorites, the Grand Bazaar. Pretty pretty water, and it was warm too.

Home sweet home :). Mom and Ludi met me at the airport and we talked all the way home. It was such a nice evening that we still went swimming once we got home, around 11 pm. I was home for two days before we took off for the pathfinder camporee in Keuruu. We swam a lot during those two days :). In the sauna with Morten and my sisters. Laura, Alina, Ludi. Last Greyhound trip for a while. By the time I got to Chattanooga I was so ready to be done with buses! This is at the top of the dunes. There we are, c...

zawadi: Wedding preparations
http://lahjajohanna.blogspot.com/2012/10/wedding-preparations.html
Most of everything for the wedding involved work. We did as much as possible ourselves, handmade. So many people helped us and everything looked really nice! It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun :). The guys making candleholders or place card holders out of birch cut down in our forest. Rebekah making juice out of black currant leaves. Casey cut out the signs and Christianna painted them. They looked great! The guys went out and found great stumps to use as cake plates. Lots of candle holders.

zawadi: Officially married
http://lahjajohanna.blogspot.com/2012/11/officially-married.html
We actually got married on August 3, at the Maistraatti in Mikkeli. The reason was that Pastor Crutcher, who was going to marry us, couldn't officially marry us in Finland. So we had the official stuff taken care of on Friday, and then on Sunday we had the religious ceremony and celebrated with all our wonderful family and friends. Anna and Laura came and witnessed our little short ceremony. Literally, it was over in 5 minutes. And my sister Laura came and took pictures for us :). View my complete profile.

Thank you for being great parents and good examples to us and for sticking with it through ups and downs. I admire you both and am very grateful for you! I hope you have a wonderful anniversary and may there be many many more! Many waters cannot quench love,. Neither can floods drown it.". Nathan came from Newbold to recruit at Toivonlinna and Emilia came with him, all the way from Spain. I had a great time seeing them and getting to catch up with Emilia again :) We sat and chatted, drank tea and watched Nathan take on every ping pong playing guy in the dorm :D I think he beat most of them too :). Two day later they got engaged! And I'm very happy for my dear friend :). Felicitaciones queridos, y muchas bendiciones! One free morning I woke up to the sun shining! Of blood and bruises. Then ...

Me, Ludi, Laura, Allu. A few days after the Camporee Laura and Morten left for Denmark and Laura continued from there to Ekebyholm in Sweden to study in the Bibellinjen (Bible course) there. It lasts for one semester and mainly they study the Bible and learn how to witness etc. So far it seems she has really enjoyed it :). It's been a month and a half since she left, so it'll be nice to see each other and catch up on things :). Hehe, I forgot. Four years later we were back! Emilia (fi) and Anita (nz/au).

zawadi: Astuva
http://lahjajohanna.blogspot.com/2012/10/astuva.html
One Sabbath afternoon we went on a walk to the Astuvansalmi rock paintings near Ristiina. I love the trails :). Me and my sisters. On our way back we found an amazing patch of blueberries, they were all over the place! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Family and friends and fun and Finland.
