http://henrystreetburrow.blogspot.com/2008/06/30-restaurants.html

Friday, June 13, 2008. Nothing new here. New York is famous for its food. Here's a short list of places I'll miss. For coffee and pastries:. Location: Soho. The chandeliers are made from kitchen utensils). Location: Carroll Gardens. Delicious wheat-free muffins). Location: Brooklyn Heights. First cafe I fell in love with in Brooklyn. In random news, last time I visited, I saw Jennifer Connelly. Location: DUMBO, but also now in Arizona! Amazing basic pizza and great views of the Brooklyn Bridge). Song (Lo...

Friday, February 29, 2008. What's the Matter With Obama Supporters? While Mrs. Miller occasionally indulges her guilty pleasure of following celebrities (at right, her favorite dress from this year's Oscars), one of my vices is following the law-gossip blog Above the Law. Even further right, my pick for best dressed). Anyway, last week an AtL post caught my eye:  Obama, BigLaw, and Taxes (Or: Obama = $34,000 Paycut). A few years ago, I stumbled over a book called  What's the Matter With Kansas. It's prob...

from the Burrow: January 2008

http://henrystreetburrow.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, January 31, 2008. Very early this morning, my mom dragged her suitcase down the narrow flight of stairs in our building and out into the crisp Brooklyn streets. Over the last eleven days, she cooked and cleaned for us, held Evangeline so I could shower occasionally, talked with us, prayed for us, and generally strewed her love all about the burrow. I miss her. By prayer, yes? And by seeking the Lord's wisdom for each day, not worrying about tomorrow? Links to this post. Links to this post.

http://henrystreetburrow.blogspot.com/2008/05/20-city-church.html

Sunday, May 25, 2008. Today is our last Sunday in New York, which means its our last time to worship at. We're going to miss this church so badly. Some of our very best memories from our time in New York are Sunday morning worship services, talking about the Bible in the Gonzales' basement on Wednesday nights, and breaking bread with these brothers and sisters at restaurants, parks, and apartments around the City. Life in the Desert. Wednesday, August 29, 2007. Seattle and Max's Wedding. After a long adventure at BWI. I arrived in Seattle at 1 am. The short story is my flight was canceled on Friday night and was not rescheduled until Saturday night. On Saturday night, the weather delayed my flight two hours. I was so happy to see Dad, Mom, and Heather. We saw Tacoma on Sunday before the wedding. We visited the glass bridge, where this picture was taken. Max's wedding was located in Stielacoom. My co-worker told me...

Life in the Desert: December 2007

http://mirthandnomatter.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html

Life in the Desert. Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Delicious meals of late. I just cooked two fantastic meals this week! I just have to say that I hightly recommend the recipes in Real Simple Magazine. The meals were easy and most the ingredients were easy to find. The first one from there is Sausage with Escarole and White Beans. I have to say that I typically do not like sausage, but this was so tasty, even two days later as leftovers. I also subbed. Wednesday, December 12, 2007. And wild and sweet.
