Ali: Yeah, I really do think.
http://aliaardappel.blogspot.com/2011/10/yeah-i-really-do-think.html
Thursday, October 13, 2011. Yeah, I really do think. I was teaching irony yesterday and I tried to make a joke about how Alanis Morissette's song "Isn't it Ironic" isn't ironic at all and guess what? No one had ever heard of Alanis Morissette. No. one. I started to feel a little old and a bit disconnected when one of my brilliant (No sarcasm here. This year they really are. Brilliant) kids quickly responded, "Well, if her song about irony isn't ironic, then it's ironic, right? See what I mean? Wow, I feel...

Saturday, July 9, 2011. My cousin, Jeff, and his wife, Nicole, have two of the most amazing kids I've ever met. Polite, articulate, kind, and intelligent, those kids are part of the reason I wanted to have my own. In November on our way home from Lake Tahoe, we stopped in Santa Cruz to visit Jeff and his family. Their custom designed and built home is nestled on a mountain between gargantuan redwoods. Their windows are uncovered, leaving a view of the forest around them. The trees ARE their walls! We eac...

Sunday, October 30, 2011. From Ariel, Prince Eric, and our little Sebastian! Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Like my father, I'm somewhat of an insomniac. We both listen to podcasts at odd hours in the middle of the night to help pacify our racing minds. Anxiety is passed down, I think. Genetic or learned, passed down all the same. The Moth has been a huge source of inspiration to me because it's performed by WRITERS! And they tell their story to a live audience. Here is what I love:. The stories are true....

Tuesday, December 28, 2010. Lindsay came to visit before Christmas. First picture of Bear by the tree. Cuddling by the fire while it rains outside. Nothing better than a happy baby. Looks like his daddy. Grandma Darla with Charlie and cousin Zoey. Daddy combed Charlie's hair for a little get-together. Uncle Jeff has been around all week! The best gift EVER! Cuddling on Christmas Eve. Grandpa held Charlie all evening. And to ALL a goodnight :). Sunday, December 12, 2010. And Charlie with Hazel! Harper, Ai...

And nothing good comes. Do i write just to write? I'm not so sure. i sometimes wish people wrote less, ya know? Thought more and wrote less. kinda like talking. That's all i got. It's a start, right? October 12, 2011 at 11:03 PM. Yay, youre back! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I survived an Italian Mother.

Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Like my father, I'm somewhat of an insomniac. We both listen to podcasts at odd hours in the middle of the night to help pacify our racing minds. Anxiety is passed down, I think. Genetic or learned, passed down all the same. Having caught up on all my favs -This American Life, Stuff You Should Know, Stuff Mom Never Told You, The Story, and Freakanomics - (yeah, I know, that's a lot of time in the middle of the night) - I've turned to yet another suggestion from Dad: The Moth.

Charlie had bananas for breakfast and was VERY happy about it. 65279;Snow Lake = Beautiful. Marmee and Lindsay sightseeing at the lake. So generally Charlie is the happiest baby ever but we found two things he really dislikes: the cold and layers of clothing. Our one group shot. Thanksgiving outfit that he wore for thirty seconds before getting sweet potaotes all over it. 65279;I love that mo...

Saturday, April 30, 2011. What's in a name. I vow to be more authentic. When I look over and think Charlie is the most-beautiful-creation-ever-put-on-this-wonderful-planet it might resemble a little bit of idealism (probably at least ten times a day). But- - when I feel like cussing out the giant SUV with the "Not of this World" stickers plastered like wallpaper all over the rear window, I'm probably going to voice my opinion (I know you got my back, Vic). 5 I love my husband more than anyone in the worl...
