Middle of the day, and too sticky to ride, so I had the radio cranked while I cleaned out the tack room and granary entry way. The horses were dozing in the shade of the barn, stomping flies. Not the same day, but you get the idea. The pictures of the initial injury are on my cell phone - can't figure out how to get them transferred.

It's Sunny in KS. Riding a half-Arabian: tales of trials and trails. Supporting Cats : Indoor. Supporting Cats : Outdoor. 8 year old Arabian mare. Amyra, along with Rufus, belongs to my husband. She's our only full Arab, and our only mare. She's had the most professional training of our small herd. She's quick, catty, extremely athletic, and has potential as a reiner (according to the trainer). She has "all the buttons". She's extremely herd bound, and she can throw a very nasty temper tantrum.

He's taller, longer bodied, and much, much smoother. He's affectionate and friendly with women, but a bad experience with a male veterinarian as a weanling has left him leery and suspicious of strange men. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
