We also have half a fence at the side of the house installed by Pete, with the gate going in soon. The gate is around 35 kg so he's looking for some stronger hinges to make sure it's all solid. The Herlihy Riva 33. Site start to handover in 9 months and 8 days (284 calendar days). Friday, August 27, 2010. Lesley went past the house today and took some photos of a nearly completed garage! All that's missing is the bits they can't do because of the scaffolding. And they can't take down the scaffolding until they complete the eaves and clean the top floor's bricks. Also included are some random photos that happened to be on the camera. We have a garage! And here is Gisele enjoying some cupcakes.

We also have floor waste drains in the ensuite and bathroom, and some of the re-tiling has been done now. And the kitchen window sill has finally been put back in! Bathroom tiles. They ran out of speckled tiles. The cut white tiles were supposed to be on the inside corner. Monday, November 15, 2010. And here are our tiles.

We have a problem unfortunately - the topmost bricks were laid last, and they started from the left hand side and worked around, finishing at the front. Thursday, September 30, 2010. Day 3 - September 30th. Today I met up with our Site Supervisor. I haven't been able to meet him up until this point due to work. The Site Supervisor explained what they have done so far and where they are expecting to get to by next week. The roll out will be:. 1) Today the concrete piers are to be installed. Monday, April 11, 2011. Day 196 - April 10th (Day 52). Took it a little easier this weekend. The grass has started to take root, so I gave it a light trim unitl it establishes itself a little better, It's amazing (to me) how green it is. It must be the preparatory work we did beforehand. We added some special loam to it all before hand and the grass seems to be loving it. Saturday, May 21, 2011. Day 237 - May 21st (Day 93). This week we had the solar panels installed by FreeSolar. When we purchased the unit in April it cost $6995 for the 3kW unit. Today it costs $9550. I'm sure glad we did it back then! Using a 3KW system, you could hope to have it generate 12.6kWh per day. Using the minimum feed in tarriff of 44 cents, your system would generate $5.54 per day ($6.55 if you managed to get 52 cents! I have know idea whether this might happen though!
