Reflections: Is "Busy" a Sin?
http://gorgeousgrandma.blogspot.com/2011/09/is-busy-sin.html
Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Is "Busy" a Sin? I spent most of today reading essays for my new job. Several of the students wrote about the internet and the amount of time that we spend surfing, and commenting, and blogging (ouch), and texting, and tweeting, and friending, and . . ! I would never do that! How much time a day do I spend interacting with media? Well maybe that's a little deep, but the point is: is their a better use for my time? Enough reflection, time for action! Reflections: I Can't Wait Until I'm Eight!
http://gorgeousgrandma.blogspot.com/2011/09/i-cant-wait-until-im-eight.html
Wednesday, September 21, 2011. I Can't Wait Until I'm Eight! When I was small my favorite Primary song was "I Can't Wait Until I'm Eight. It seemed like every month one of the "big kids" got to stand in front of the primary while the rest of us serenaded them into full church membership. I was so excited the day that my turn finally came and I attained the rank of "peculiar person." Yeah! Sam is one of the nicest, smartest, kindest, funniest, kids around. Sam and I love to read books together!

Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Why do I love Disneyland? Just returned from a quick Disneyland trip with a few of my favorite people. I was asked why do I find Disneyland so magical? What do I love about Disneyland? This question started a trit down memory Lane so I started a list(not all inclusive, and not in any particular order):. Walking down Main Street. Waiting at the exit of Space Mountain and gobbling popcorn with Josh. Having lunch with Billy Hill and the Hillbilly's. Petting goats with Tyler. Subscr...

Reflections: Word of the Day
http://gorgeousgrandma.blogspot.com/2011/09/word-of-day.html
Monday, September 19, 2011. Word of the Day. I subscribe to an online word-of-the-day dictionary that sends me a new word to learn each day. I'm always so excited and proud when I already know the word and its meaning (even if I usually can't spell it). Today's word I didn't know and I can't spell but is it ever cool! PLEE-uh-naz-uhm , noun. The use of more words than are necessary to express an idea; as, "I saw it with my own eyes.". An instance or example of pleonasm. A superfluous word or expression.

Tuesday, August 26, 2008. This is the vacation that never ends. For most of my life I have wanted to travel- every time I went to the airport to deliver or pick up someone I wished that it were me getting on that big silver bird and jetting off to fun and exotic locations. Well, as my friend Randy always says "be careful about what you wish for because you might get your wish." This summer I am living the "vacation that never ends! In July we spent a weekend on Cove Mountain. About 3:00 we headed to Long...
