About the Artist

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Herm Freeman earned a degree (Phi Beta Kappa) from Queens College (City University of New York) in 1969 and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Indiana University in 1971. He studied painting with several major American artists, including Fairfield Porter, George McNeil, James Brooks, James McGarrell, and Richard Serra. Silvermine 51st Art of the Northeast USA Annual Exhibition.
