Beans for Dinner: November 2009
http://beansfordinner.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 4, 2009. My two month anniversary of leaving home. I did some yoga, straightened my room, and now I'm enjoying a cup of tea and listening to a Corelli concerto while doing a crossword puzzle. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Beans for Dinner: July 2010
http://beansfordinner.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Hopefully, this'll be my last post from Iraq. I walked around today with a camera, to try and document some of the daily sights I've been living with for the past year. I haven't taken many pictures, but there just doesn't seem to be much that I want to preserve for the future. Still, these give a decent idea of what it's like. The door to my own CHU. Saturday afternoon, must be time to clean the weapon. The building where I work. Inside the aid station. Yes, it's true. The ...

Beans for Dinner: February 2010
http://beansfordinner.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 14, 2010. Anyway, before the new marching orders came through, I did take a couple pictures of the outside of our clinic. This is where we park our "ambulances". These vehicles are called M-RAPs (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) and they're about as comfortable as they look:. Saturday, February 6, 2010. Certainly nothing that I have done can deserve this. 3 more weeks until I go home for R&R. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). April is National Poetry Month. Sterling College draft horses.

Beans for Dinner: March 2010
http://beansfordinner.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 23, 2010. We repainted and took out our "new" canoe- a '63 Chestnut Deer. It's beautiful. I'm in love. Please take a moment to notice the dearth of bicycles in the above picture. My sister Emily came up, and we spent St Patty's day at an Irish pub. It was great to see her. It took 4 days travelling to get back to Taji. I'm moving to my new unit in less than a week so will try to spend the next few days catching up on sleep and packing. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Beans for Dinner: August 2010

Thursday, August 5, 2010. I]t would demean a married couple were it to be said marriage is simply about the right to have sexual intercourse," . M]oral disapproval, without any other asserted state interest,' has never been a rational basis for legislation," . "Animus towards gays and lesbians or simply a belief that a relationship between a man and a woman is inherently better than a relationship between two men or two women, this belief is not a proper basis on which to legislate,".
