Believe it or not, the Eastern Algarve is not just 100 miles of beautiful beaches, protected parklands, a perfect haven for walkers; cylcists and birdwatchers - it is also a hideaway for hidden gems one of which we discovered with friends the other day - Pego do Inferno - a small yet beautiful waterfall just outside Tavira. A lovely shaded walkway through the forest leads you to a dreamlike spot where the waterfall rushes into the sparkling lake below.
