To my observations, the front of the site is facing the main King Street, therefore the main buildings along the street are shops and commercial buildings. Friday, June 20, 2008. The main theme of this environment is contrast. You can first see it by the messy lower office for Zhang Yin and neat upper space for donatella Versace. The dining table is made out of two tables in similar shape but different forms. They are connected and supporting each other, which expresses how the two successful female in two contrasting eras of work are relying on each other. Saturday, March 29, 2008. Monday, March 24, 2008. 2 Sections, 4 Stairs - over 12 hours of sketch up modelling. The stair is made into 2 sessions. Both the upper part and the lower part can be used. The stairs are made to be like swings that children used to play in the park. However, the usual 'rope' part is made out of steel which makes the user think that the stair is unstable at first sight, and a strange feeling when stepped on the firmly placed stairs. Tuesday, April 7, 2009. These are the draft partis I drew for the first try. I was a bit confused on how the partis should be and these drafts didn’t went so good. The circulation was too detailed, which makes people lose track on identifying the main staircase. Therefore I left the rooms blank to help people stay on focus while reading my parti.
