And so it goes. . .: June 2014
http://neapolitantreasures.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 20, 2014. I have tried a few different times to put this experience into words. It's not easy to put your heart onto paper. So I'm going to leave it in my heart and share a few a pictures and some words that will fall short. With every temple dedication there is a Youth Celebration which is an evening of dance and song and testimony. The first practice was long and hot. Beginning at 7 am and no plans to call it done until late into the evening. And then slowly, clouds that were not previousl...

Elder Hixon: Rearguard
http://elderhixon.blogspot.com/2015/04/rearguard.html
Monday, April 20, 2015. This week was so awesome! Elder Uhlig is great! He cracks me up, he's just so funny. He's just golden. We found 31 new investigators this week, my feet have never blistered so hard, though they didn't bleed this week. Not yet. And I don't want to buy new shoes. We have loads of people to meet up with this week (fingers crossed), and as of last Tuesday, Hou Lipeng accepted a baptismal date for May 9th. Do we really desire what we ask for? I had loads of scripture insights this week.

Elder Hixon: Blisters on My Blisters
http://elderhixon.blogspot.com/2015/04/blisters-on-my-blisters.html
Monday, April 13, 2015. Blisters on My Blisters. Pic with Constantine from Novi Sad). Yeah, we're at that stage again. 9 came to church. Nobody new. I admit, my first day hit me hard. Fears returned, feelings of isolation and of "the end" really ate at me. Satan relentlessly pounded on me with every inadequacy and every reality. The stormy sea was real. But prayers were answered, work was done, and the sea was calmed. Or, at least, I was. Cute things don't move.". All my love,. Labels: montenegro week 19.

Elder Hixon: Podgorica 2.0
http://elderhixon.blogspot.com/2015/03/podgorica-20.html
Monday, March 30, 2015. Well I told President I just wanted my last transfer to be like it was with Bent's? I told him that I just wanted it to be the hardest thing possible and for somebody to come and go to war with me. He took that way too seriously. I had actually just finished reading "The Will of the Father in All Things" by Holland, so obviously I was at a disadvantage when President called 2 days before transfer calls. Rather your only purpose now is to baptize with a capital B. I'm putting t...

Elder Hixon: Oh It Is Wonderful!
http://elderhixon.blogspot.com/2015/04/oh-it-is-wonderful.html
Monday, April 27, 2015. Oh It Is Wonderful! Our God is a God of Miracles, no questions. Why isn't it working? It was fine if a transfer without a baptism passed before- there was always progression and time still to capitalize on that progression. But here we are. It's over in 5 weeks. Our Mission President promised us (and kind of everybody during ZC) that he knew " with every fiber of his being". I have no idea how I'm going to memorize that, but I will! Miloš immediately responded: " I want that.

Elder Hixon: No Coincindences
http://elderhixon.blogspot.com/2015/05/no-coincindences.html
Monday, May 4, 2015. This week was both legit and so hard. I'll start with the hard. We met with Srdjan this week because he's been having issues believing everything (I mean,. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, broken bread to give strength.it is Peter, weeping bitterly, who returns to greater power than ever.". There is purpose in the time it takes.". So she set herself to have lessons starting tomorrow. Badahee, she's just asking for it&...

Elder Hixon: Bipolarity
http://elderhixon.blogspot.com/2015/03/bipolarity.html
Monday, March 23, 2015. Transfer calls come in Thursday morning and then we have the official travel the following Mon/Tues. It'll be my last mission companion. Crazy. As for the week, though, it was an awesome one! He's such a stud, and our friendship is growing. I am so grateful that I'm still on my mission to see these miracles and be of use, and that I'm in Novi Sad. I'm grateful for those I've met and been blessed to love and be loved by them. That penetrating awareness He has still now. How could t...
