Monday, February 27, 2012. The Other Side of Heaven. This weekend we did a little bit of this and a little bit of that. We did some new stuff and saw some old things. Went new places and stayed around town. It was just a good fun weekend. Friday we started by hiking and walking the Arapuni Swing Bridge with everyone. It was windy this time so it was a little scarier. It was still pretty cool to see. Must have been 6 stories high. This kid gives it 2 thumbs up! We got in the PMV. Dad cooking on the grill.

Friday, May 11, 2012. How do you measure a year? Our sweet boy T turned 5 this week. It's crazy to believe he's 5 and ready to join in on all the "big kid" stuff like school and .well, that's about it. He's excited to start school in the fall but I think the shock will come when he realizes he's not in the same class as his older brother who'll be in the 3rd grade! Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Valentine's Day was pretty fun and interesting. I soon realized that it is not commercialized here in New Zealand when I didn't see heaps of heart shaped candy, balloons, soaps, or anything red and pink exploding all over the store aisles. If you weren't to know what day it was (thanks to my handy calendar. Paper cut out hearts taped on the wall. Heart pancakes for breakfast. Thursday, March 8, 2012. That was not in the brochure! We've been here for a little over one month now and there are many things we've learned during our stay here so far. Some I've had to learn the hard way and some just by observation. Some came easily and some by desperation. Here is a little of what we've learned and I'm sure there is more out there but for starters. McDonalds is universally the same no matter where you go. Roundabouts are fun. I haven't seen a traffic light or stopsign in weeks.
