It burned and throbbed like CRAZY! This happened just as I had an excellent spider monkey photographic opportunity, but I had to put the camera down and tend to my little toe. Bosque del Cabo serves as a wildlife corridor from Matapalo point in the south up towards Corcovado National Park. Most of the proceeds from BDC go to purchasing more land in the area to protect it. Saturday, June 28, 2008. Costa Rica: day 10 - Lapa Rios! We were on our way to Lapa Rios, a luxury ecolodge that has been featured in numerous travel articles and best hotel lists. This was our honeymoon splurge of the trip. After arriving in Puerto Jiménez, it was going to be a forty minute 4x4 ride into the remote jungles of the Osa Peninsula. A forty minute ride from the nearest phone, internet connection and civilization. It sounded like paradise! Hey, that's us! The ride in the Land Rover was fun.

Friday, July 15, 2011. Bats in the Neighborhood! A week ago today, as my husband was outside grilling, he noticed a bat flitting about! He called me over to confirm and then we observed about 15-20 flying around our house and quite low over the street around 8:45pm. This is the first time since moving here last October that we've observed bats! Around our house there are plenty of squirrels, birds, sometimes frogs, even a small owl once! Außerdem sucht er schon nach Ewigkeiten nach einfachen Camping Frühstücks-Rezepten, die nicht süß aber warm sind. Auf der Suche nach Rezepten bin ich auf “Savory Oatmeal”, also herzhafter Haferbrei, gestoßen und hab es sofort ausprobiert.
