Project Trust have selected me to spend 12 months in Swaziland, South Africa. I will be working in two preschools, running a soup kitchen and living in a girls hostel providing support within the local community. Project Trust is registered as a Charity in Scotland (SCO25668). They specialise in sending 17-19 year old school leavers overseas for long term volunteering placements of 8 or 12 months. They currently have volunteering opportunities in 23 countries in Africa, Asia and the Americas.

I am breaking my pattern of posting my blogs on a Sunday to cover the previous week; but breaking up the holidays into blogs of the countries seems to make more logical sense, so here it goes. Monday, 29 October 2012. Hopefully I will continue adding to this list as I find out more and more about this fascinating country:. If you have western money, Swaziland is pretty cheap! Everything is slow in Swaziland - internet, service, waiting for food etc :P. Everything has so many additives! The jam is bright red, the yoghurts are bright green and bright yellow and they have a drink called Cabana which is basically Sunny D - yeah, that was banned in the UK ;). The custard creams here are amazing!
