COMPLETED SERIES 2014 - 2015. Was all about expanding upon what I had already achieved with. But adding in new features. One of these features, perhaps the most distinctive, is geometry. Squares, triangles, and squiggles make appearances on almost every piece, and I think this created limitations that I had to work around. This series took the longest to complete of all of the series thus far and it didn't even really end, it just sort of petered out. ACRYLIC AND CHARCOAL ON CANVAS. 10 x 10, 11 x 14.

Is my love letter to the video game aesthetic of the 1980s. I designed Protovision in October 2015, searching for that blocky, pixel-based look that was the hallmark of that era. I have been interested in modular fonts for some time now, and Anchorage is probably one of my most "gridnik" typefaces thus far.
