The train really fills up in Albany, at which point internet speed slows from a jog to a crawl. It also seems to slow down when the train stops, not sure what that's about. Now that the 15-minute stop is over, the internet seems to be zipping along again with the train. Phew. Do you have a favorite mode of transportation for long (let's say 3 hrs/250 km/150 mi) trips?

Wee new moon : : 14h31m sun. It's been very pleasant not to be packing, moving, and driving a rental truck long distances this past week, which is how I spent the end of July and start of August in both 2009 and 2010. I imagine those of you who helped make those moves happen have also enjoyed not being asked to participate again. I highly recommend the first-monday-in-August civic holiday. I roast a winter squash to make soup at least once a year, and I've attempted to toast the seeds like everyone says you should do but never enjoyed the result: too much tough shell to gnaw through for too little reward.
