The festival has attracted visitors in their thousands over the last five years, from across the UK and Europe, and so for those travelling a little further, or even for those from a few miles away, we offer some useful information to make your visit a memorable one. Chatelherault is 2 miles off J6 of the M74 at Hamilton. Brown signed on motorway and onwards to site. There is free on-site car parking. Chatelherault train station, and a bus stop, are both right at the park entrance.

Volunteers from Scotland's Festival of History also organise Scotland's largest continental style Christmas Market, traditionally held on the third Saturday of November. The town's broad High Street is closed off for the day and is taken over by almost 100 stall holders, heritage children's fairground, entertainers and Santa Claus.
