Thursday, April 30, 2009. New Orleans Jazz Fest. We had a wonderful time in New Orleans. Was so much fun to go with a bunch of people. Everyone waiting on the SHELL bus. Kelley and DeLane agreed these chairs were really the way to go. Cyndi with Forest Gump. I think he wanted to giver her his chocolates. Jolie, Kenneth, Cyndi, Chuck all looking sunburned after a big day. Lesia, Dan, Crystal, Alan. Dan, Crystal, Claudia and Kenneth. Margaritavill, we found that lost shaker of salt. Monday, May 18, 2009. McKenna and Morgan had their dance recital this weekend. All their hard work paid off! It was a great show, a tribute to Broadway. This is Morgan's 6th full year of dancing, boy she shines on the stage! McKenna has been dancing for four years and has made great improvements too. They were lucky to be able to dance in two dances together. They opened the show with the song "One". This is a shot of Morgan's dance group. Morgan did a jazz dance to "Dancing Queen! Wednesday, January 14, 2009. We left Boone Saturday morning and headed to the NC Zoo in Asheboro. It is on the way home and was about 2 1/2 hours away. We got there at lunch and turned out to be a beautiful day. We saw lots of animals and got lots of exercise pushing the girls around this big zoo. There were very little people there, and the animals were all out and about! We talked about what to do if you see a bear while we were hiking in the mountains, Maya raised her arms high when she saw this bear!

Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Well Dan has made it Dubai and boy is it hot. But understand it is just as hot in Houston. Started clearing up, for a week there where sandstorms and the air was full of dust. It has since cleared up a little but they say that it will be this way until October. Monday, December 29, 2008. We are busy cleaning up the Christmas mess! Taking down the decorations and putting all of our new goodies away. The girls are out of school until Jan. 5 th. Railroad and Grandfather Mountain too. Sunday, December 28, 2008. The girls stayed asleep until 6:20am. No 5:00 wake up call this year! Everyone was Happy Christmas morning.
