Back to home page. From the south (Keighley, Leeds etc). From the north (Kendal and The Lakes). Back at the track, there is no sign, but there is a 'bridleway' finger-post sign. Then go up the track, through a farm (Lower Bark House) over the cattle grid as you go out of their farmyard then another 300 yards to Higher Bark House. There are buses to Helwith Bridge, contact Settle Tourist Information. Or rail journey planner. But trains to Settle or Giggleswick stations are more frequent.

Since we moved in we have had the roof fully off and rebuilt it with reclaimed old slate. All the upstairs walls were rotten so they had to go! At one time we had just one massive space upstairs looking out to the stars where the roof should have been. We have since then made the track up a little more civilized, we have cleared many wagon-loads of rubbish from the rear and have re-built the septic tank. Come over soon and look for yourself!
