Life's Prologue: Town 10: Mitchell
http://highchairtheology.blogspot.com/2015/05/town-10-mitchell.html
This is only the beginning. Sunday, May 03, 2015. Traveling East en route to Idaho we decided to take the "Business Loop" through Mitchell. This ranks as MY favorite-so-far town. A lady saw us "milling about" and let us into the closed restaurant. She was prepping for dinner service. There we are, folks. Main Street. Apparently.according to the locals.this place is hopping in the summer. Gateway to the Painted Hills. This building has seen many days. They are trying to bring the town back.
Life's Prologue: Towns 6-9: Tangent, Shed, Halsey and Harrisburg
http://highchairtheology.blogspot.com/2015/05/towns-6-9-tangent-shed-halsey-and.html
This is only the beginning. Sunday, May 03, 2015. Towns 6-9: Tangent, Shed, Halsey and Harrisburg. A short trip down south on HWY 99E took us on a fun adventure with lessons on small towns of the past and what was important to them. First stop.five miles out of Albany.Tangent. Tangent was named for its long stretch of railroad. Named after the mathematical tangent. Another of Grandpa's old shops. And then we found a cat. After a nice lunch in the park. And a short walk around the railroad tracks. Okay, O...
Life's Prologue: Town 11: Daysville
http://highchairtheology.blogspot.com/2015/05/town-11-daysville.html
This is only the beginning. Sunday, May 03, 2015. A little ways down the Highway from Mitchell we stopped at Daysville. A tad bit contrived, but holding that classic charm that shouts "we used to be a legitimate town of Western Lore". Bass Reeves in Action. We stopped in at the Dayville Mercentile to find all of those "candies from the past.". Candy sticks and gum cigs. Oh the memories. And also.an old time horse. Goodbye quaint old once-upon-a-time town. Keepsake: Arrowhead from the store.
Life's Prologue: The Symphony of Creation
http://highchairtheology.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-symphony-of-creation.html
This is only the beginning. Saturday, May 09, 2015. The Symphony of Creation. Strategically and sometimes wildly transcribing the notes so real in his head to a crumpled scribbled meager piece of paper. The work is intense beauty. A masterpiece from a master's head. From his heart. Every note. Every pause. Every strum, beat and breath of every instrument must be painstakingly transcribed to come together into one stunning heart-stopping masterpiece. But it is not the end. He rests. It is good. The Creato...

The biscuit gang: March 2010
http://thebiscuitgang.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 26, 2010. Went to Florida with my Habesha babe. Logged some pool and sun time (yes even in these chilly days) and got some dry dry baby skin. Found Cetaphil in my Momma's cabinet. Slathered down the babe and Wow! I'm a big convert. Her skin has never looked so great. It doesn't smell as delicious as my previous Sally Beauty Coconut Oil lotion (in fact it doesn't smell at all). but she just glows! Links to this post. Labels: african american skin care. The biscuit gang: Of Black Babes & Barbies
http://thebiscuitgang.blogspot.com/2010/04/of-black-babes-barbies.html
Friday, April 9, 2010. Of Black Babes and Barbies. I've always been a fan of Barbies. That shade of vibrant pink still hits an instinctual pang of joy. Why did I love them? Looking at Barbie now with her impossible figure lending credence to a life of Barbie botox and boob jobs, I'm caught between a mother's protective instincts and a deep sentimentality for my own Barbie time. Was she a good influence in my formative years or bad? Better Homes and Gardens. And a career in graphic design. A quick glance ...

Thursday, September 24, 2009. We all Love Shoes! I can't say it enough. I LOVE ZAZZLE.com. It keeps the creative juices flowing and out of trouble. If not for Zazzle, I'd be spending time and m. Oney surfing for more home decor, which. Dan keeps reminding me we. So, Zazzle does a social service in addition to letting me design fun and frivolous tshirts, mugs and now, yes, SHOES! What girl doesn't love shoes? What designer doesn't love a new medium? Http:/ www.zazzle.com/adopttees*. Links to this post.
The biscuit gang: August 2009
http://thebiscuitgang.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2009. Music Across the World. I just came across this song and then the site. The song Stand by Me. Was profoundly moving. Ru was mesmerized. The music is wonderful. Street musicians from across the world playing the same song separately were mixed together into one song that weaves, bobs, unites, transcends. The metaphor of music dissolving boundaries plays well upon the soul. Please enjoy it too at playingforchange.com. Links to this post. Saturday, August 1, 2009. 1) Tsehai Loves ...

There is no cure: June 2006
http://enjoy-the-interval.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
There is no cure. Friday, June 30, 2006. To close, I just want to say that I'm thankful for my garden and the lessons I learn there daily. I'm thankful for the nourishment and enjoyment that our fruits and vegetables provide. Although I wish my garden could be ten times the size it is, I enjoy the little space I have to watch things grow. Posted by Eyes Wide Open at 3:21 PM. Tuesday, June 06, 2006. I'm sure many people have heard of Madeline L'Engle. But did you know she's a poet too? A Poem to Ponder.

Life's Prologue
This is only the beginning. Friday, December 18, 2015. Advent Day 15: Love beyond obligation. Have you ever felt obligated? Ruth was a Moabite woman. She was not of the family of Israel. But when an Israelite family came to her land, fleeing the famine of theirs, she found herself in love with one of the sons and married him. And remember, with marriage comes obligations. His laws and customs were now her laws and customs. But when an obligation is released is indeed the true test of love. That woman Rut...

Why I Decided to Get a Mom Tattoo (& No, It Isn’t Just Ink on My Arm). July 10, 2016. By High Chair Times. They consume my thoughts and, sometimes, my dreams, too. Or, sometimes I’m just remembering a sweet (or horrible) moment from the night before. They will always be. The New York Times. Then, we had this conversation:. Me: I will. It will never go away.
