Alicia B. Designs: Happy Birthday America!
http://aliciabdesigns.blogspot.com/2013/07/happy-birthday-america.html
Wednesday, July 3, 2013. Let's get our red white and blue on. I got a mani/pedi today but I didn't get these patriotic beauties. A casual and awesome outfit from J. Crew. I plan on wearing a blue and white striped shirt with white jeans tomorrow. Maybe a red headband or coral necklace. I suppose this is a famous ferris wheel on Coney Island? Blue and white wallpaper and a red door. Perfection. If you're looking for a good and non-cheesy way to decorate, try a flag! Alicia B. Designs. Labels: 4th of july.

Thursday, August 8, 2013. Duck, Duck, Uncle Goose. Remember playing with wooden blocks when you were younger? I grew up with a great set of blocks but have you seen the toys kids have these days? Everything has a button or a battery, right? Well blocks just got cool again- Uncle Goose. Uncle Goose sent me a set of their House Industries set of Big and Tall blocks for me to play with and decorate with. They have tons of other patterns too, check them out HERE. Not your ordinary blocks, huh? A few blogs I ...

Thursday, January 24, 2013. Hey everyone. Looks like I want to blog more when it's about me. In our new home, my husband and I have an actual front hall (and an actual dining room! This may seem like insanity to even mention to the average person but for someone living in NYC a front hall and a dining room space are not exactly par for the course. We hung a Ballard Designs lantern in the front hall and are going to wallpaper the small space because.why not! Love me a chevron with a side of ikat. My husba...

Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Roasting Chestnuts over Sandy's Fire. Check out my chestnuts. I bought 2 pounds of these bad boys at Food Emporium. I got this awesome chestnut roasting pan from one of my best friends for my wedding. I'm not sure why the holes are there but they must serve a purpose. My mom said that she had a nightmare experience when she roasted chestnuts in a pan without holes. It's important to slice a line through each chestnut, though I'd slice an X so that they open easier. Nothing se...

An Update and Big Plans. My Apologies →. August 30, 2012. W and I have a weekly supper club with some close friends here in Birmingham. Each week we select recipes that none of us have tried and then we cook up a supper-licious storm. Last night was the first supper club hosted in Homewood (at the new house, obvi). Newer posts →. Christmas Time is Here…. December 20, 2011. I mentioned in my previous post that W and I were in Vegas and once we returned to Columbia we had company visiting the following weekend. Well in these few days, I was bound and determined to clean the house, put up all the Christmas decorations, and catch up on some work that I should have finished before Vegas. Somehow I did it! I started by setting out the nativity. I found this nativity last year at Miss Cayce’s Christmas Store. Lastly, I hu...
