Lady Jane explores the world. Tuesday, May 6, 2008. Yes well- the last few days have been interesting in a surprising sense. Took myseld off from Ica without any hassle- though I was a little tired to say the least having managed to hustle in on a BBQ buffet in the hostel of some German fellow i met (another German! Antigua however is lovely and I am learning Spanish here for a week which is jolly. Am unfortunately out of time now so will write further of my activities anon. Ooodles of love to you all.

Lady Jane explores the world. Friday, May 2, 2008. More things and stuff. The rest of the city is a bustling sort of a place and again there are many bars serving excellent and inexpensive cocktails. Anyhoo. I am in Ica now or spreading myself between Ica and Huancacina which is a beautifull desert Oasis in the most steroetypical style. Tried sand boarding there this morning which wass fun though i didn´t quite get to the standing up stage. Must dash now or shall miss the tour. Jane Champion of the World!

I have an excuse for this.- Plans and schemes have been up in the air and there was for a while the distinct possibility that I would be extending my journeys for another couple of months and I didnt want to write untill I had a definite thing to write about. What else what else? Planning on seeing the Mayan ruins of Tikal at some stage while I{m here- They are meant to be incredible.

Anyhoo- I´m leaving Antigua today and heading for the shores of Lake Atitlan which Aldous Huxley apparently said was an ´impossible landscape´ that made him yearn for home because he couldn´t cope with its beauty. it goes beyond the ´limit of the permissably pituresque´.
