Dr. Moonbeam: What makes it worthwhile
http://drmoonbeam.blogspot.com/2007/04/what-makes-it-worthwhile.html
Tuesday, April 24, 2007. What makes it worthwhile. I was honored by the History Club, the undergraduate group in my department, at our annual departmental banquet last Friday; they chose me as the Professor of the Year. I was surprised and pleased and very touched. Sometimes it's hard to remember that all the work isn't wholly unappreciated, after all. That is a wonderful honor and it has to make all of the hard work seem more worthwhile! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bloggy Friends and Family.
Dr. Moonbeam: November 2006
http://drmoonbeam.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 13, 2006. Winding down the semester. It's the week before Thanksgiving, unbelievably. Which means four more weeks of classes, and then finals week. Ack! Where did the time disappear to! Sighs* I'll manage, of course, but suddenly my schedule seems far busier than I would like! Links to this post. Friday, November 3, 2006. You paid attention during 100% of high school! 85-100% You must be an autodidact, because American high schools don't get scores that high! Good show, old chap! I'm a 3...

http://drmoonbeam.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 14, 2007. The one downside was not at the conference itself, but the trip home; one leg of my flight was canceled due to weather, and although I did actually manage to get home last night, on standby, my luggage did not come with me and I haven't yet heard about it. Dr. Moonbeam: Waiting
http://drmoonbeam.blogspot.com/2007/07/waiting.html
Thursday, July 19, 2007. I admit it - I'm a Harry Potter fan. Right now I am eagerly anticipating the release of the final book in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Under the circumstances I expect I'll be reading it from as soon as it's delivered on Saturday, until I finish. however long that may be. Waiting out here with you. We got our muggle copy on Saturday thanks to the postal service as well. Rob's engrossed in it! I got mine on Saturday too, and read the whole thing that day!
Dr. Moonbeam: January 2007
http://drmoonbeam.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 5, 2007. So, my husband just left today for his sabbatical trip to Sweden. He won't be back until August. I'll be going to see him during my spring break in March (the plane reservations for that are already booked) and then again in May or June, after the end of the semester (not yet set, and probably for two weeks rather than one). It feels lonely already, although I have lots. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Bloggy Friends and Family. Another boring academic has a blog?
Dr. Moonbeam: December 2006
http://drmoonbeam.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 15, 2006. Close enough to taste it. The end is in sight; I have one more essay question to grade for the exam in the Civ class (that is, 58 essays), and then it's calculating the grades and turning those in. After that it's time to read the 33 research papers for the upper-division class, which at least ought to be reasonably literate by comparison and are also typed. Links to this post. Dr. Moonbeam: April 2008
http://drmoonbeam.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 28, 2008. Blows dust off mike*. Yeah, I haven't posted here since the beginning of this academic year. and now it's the end, and I'm about to start grading the end-of-term papers. There's rather a lot going on just now, but most of it isn't yet for public consumption. By fall, I hope! I'm working on a paper to give at a conference next week, though. Assuming I get it done (which, yes, I expect I will as I always manage somehow) that should be fun. Links to this post. Bitch, Ph.D.
