A Google search of the words “cassowary” and “dangerous” reveals that the cassowary is universally acknowledged. As the most dangerous bird in the world. ALL BIRDS ARE INHERENTLY DANGEROUS. LIKE EXPLOSIVE DEVICES AND AMERICANS, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A BIRD THAT DOES NOT POSE A THREAT TO ITS IMMEDIATE SURROUNDINGS. Yes, I am well aware that the cassowary is endangered.

A place for whimsy. Monthly Archives: April 2011. April 27, 2011 – 1:50 pm. Let’s just say the best part of the meal was the bread. Mind you, I can really put it away, especially for a person my size, especially when I am starving. I almost always clean my plate, and often the plates of those around me. This much was left when I finally had to give:. So now I am out $7.50, and I’m still hungry. And Roma still has my ire. April 22, 2011 – 1:36 pm. Today I had a cup of tomato bisque from Caffe Roma. Also, ...

A place for whimsy. So today, the overwhelming prevalence of Caffe Roma in my personal culture got the better of me, and I returned, despite my principles. And in typical Roma fashion, they managed to disappoint me. Goddammit, Roma, you never get it right. Either live up to your full potential, or just lean into your tendency to suck and go all out. If I am not going to walk out satisfied, then give me something legit to complain about at least! Damn They got me again. April 13, 2011 at 1:07 pm.

A place for whimsy. Monthly Archives: October 2010. October 22, 2010 – 10:33 am. It is raining today. (! I decided it is high time for me to invest in a proper pair of wellies, especially because I loathe taking the bus to work but I can’t afford to ruin a pair of shoes everytime I walk in the rain. I have had my eye on these bad boys for a year, and today I was lucky enough to find a pair in my size:. A retraction, of sorts. October 20, 2010 – 11:33 am. Also, I advocate against voting for this guy.

A place for whimsy. 8230;words like Let’s go get them, let’s go shoot them again. If you have access to Westlaw or LexisNexis, I highly recommend reading. People v. Camino,. 116 Cal.Rptr.3d 173. Even if you aren’t a legal scholar or professional, a well-written legal opinion can be quality entertainment. This opinion in particular makes glorious use of quotation marks, which I would argue are the most effective punctuational device in terms of conveying a tone of condescension. A place for whimsy. A Charlie Brown Moment. Photos courtesy of Fairy Tales of the City. My foreign friend Alyson and I undertook to carve pumpkins as per All Hallow’s Eve tradition a few weeks ago. Alyson printed out an image of an owl, and I presumed she was going to tack it on to the pumpkin and carve around the outline, in a stencil-like fashion. Yeah, no. She used the picture as a visual guide to draw an ornate owl on to her pumpkin. Then she carved around her freehand drawing:. Whatever. At leas...

A place for whimsy. The Line Between “Being Eccentric” and “Being an Eccentric”. After a bit of drama with UPS, the much-ballyhooed horse boots have finally arrived! A place for whimsy. It’s Friday, which means it’s Tomato Bisque Day at Caffe Roma. The tomato bisque is famously. So now I am eating peanut butter by the spoonful out of a jar, which is not a particularly refined manner in which to quell one’s hunger. Each trip to Roma brings about a new experience in humilation. May 6, 2011 at 12:56 pm. Or leave a trackback: Trackback URL. Next Post ». Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.
