OK so it's more fun than crazy, but it's still madness! Wednesday, September 23, 2009. I did the Crystal Lake 1/2 on 9/14. 13.1 miles of fun! More like 12 miles of fun, 1.1 of DEATH. I ran my hardest though and cut off alot of time from my training pace. And I bested all of my prior 5k times. Yippee! Finish line is in sight! It looks like I'm walking, but instead it's a sprint! OK so it's more fun than crazy, but it's still madness! Saturday, July 4, 2009. So I kicked it into high gear and sprinted HARD. I had my trainer on my left and the pastor of my church on my right and I just nailed it. I told my friend the whole time "I hate you I hate you I hate you".but felt so good. She has the endurance advantage for long hauls, I have the long legs advantage for short sprints. Fun! There was a ton of people cheering me on all along the way, so that was fun. Fun fun fun!

Wednesday, October 30, 2013. The Gift of Time. It’s been 24 weeks since I last blogged. I lost interest. I was tired. I felt like I didn’t have anything fun, high-strung or witty left to say. Giving honor to Juju’s 72 laps felt like a good way to put the cancer to bed, so to speak. But here we are. Approaching the anniversary of that time in our lives that was the bleakest. And we find ourselves asking, how are we going to get through these holidays when the grief is still there? Links to this post.

18 West Hearne Paris, Texas Beside the South Main Cafe. The third Saturday of each month we have an afternoon stage show featuring High Strung. From 4:00 to 5:30 PM. A Guest band. Takes the stage at 7:00 followed by High Strung. Jam Sessions every Tuesday night 6 to 8 PM. No electric instruments or drums. Free admission, but we do pass the hat to help pay utilities.
