PCT Thru Hike 2015. August 14, 2015. Most of the area around here has burned recently leaving you exposed to the sun as well. This section is skipped by many hikers simply due to the heat. Others night hike it. I was thankful for a breeze and a few trees that offered shade. Looking straight down to the flat land below and ahead at the beautiful Mt Shasta. She is stunning! I walked until the sun began to set to find a nice solo campsite. A beautiful day full of new views and new friends! August 12, 2015.
