TRAIL-Words of the Day. Daily Archives: February 13, 2015. February 13, 2015. We got certificates in the mail a few days ago, and took this picture in front of Moose Mountain – a peak we climbed in NH on our thru-hike – so an appropriate finale for this endeavor. Now we want to say a big thank-you to the ATC volunteers who gave of their time and energy to make our hike possible, and even recognized our accomplishment! THANK YOU, ATC volunteers! ATC certificates of congratulations.

An adventure blog about my hike on the Appalachian Trail. December 12, 2014. Once again, the trail rewards us for surviving 20 degree nights. Andy's Big Adventure | The mountains are calling and I must go

Andy's Big Adventure. The mountains are calling and I must go. 3 Years Without Andy. August 29, 2016. Often times I wonder . . . if Andy were still alive what would he be doing right now with his life. Would he be happy? Isn’t that what we all want for our children, for ourselves, for those we love? If you have an open heart, it’s what we want for all people for everyone to be happy. What I have right now are just memories, and those memories change as I grow older and my life unwittingly moves forward.

Hiking The Pathways | Enjoying Texarkana's Trail System One At A Time

About Hiking The Pathways. Enjoying Texarkana's Trail System One At A Time. Race Review: Run the Line. April 4, 2011 by joesaulsehy. Now that some time has passed, I’d like to review my thoughts on the race. This won’t be an objective post. As a member of the organizing committee, it’s impossible for me to present an opinion that won’t be biased. With that warning, let’s get started. I made it to the starting line pretty tired. 3) The post-race party. The fact that the party is downtown, in front of ...

Mexico Here I Am

Mexico Here I Am. Saturday, January 22, 2011. True to be said, I am no stranger to the beach. Seasoned early on with the Washington coast and wind and chill, appropriate attire included jeans, a hoodie and maybe even a stocking cap. But as time has passed, slowly and with the laziest of snowbirds I gradually migrated south, enjoying warmer and warmer shores. This trip had been planned for a while. Every Christmas break the staff tries to do something with the kids that have nowhere to go. Even so, I rent...

A guide to getting outdoors (mostly with kids). Fun On The Trail. Too many times while on the trail we said, "We have to remember this."
