Mike and Theresa knew how much they loved traveling, but in March 2009 they decided to take it up a notch and plan a (temporary) move. Their initial dreams were somewhere in the UK, but after a confusing review of work opportunities and immigration, they decided a move within the US was a safer bet. Burrito Treaty has been broken. March 6, 2011. 1415 miles down and we’re only in day 2 – whoop whoop! Friday night we scooted into the uber accommodating Dawson residence at just about 9:30pm CST. Burrito Treaty has been broken. And….we’re off! March 4, 2011. Word up, peeps! Still dark outside and possibly half asleep, we rolled out of Jen and Dave’s place (Theresa/Kate’s sister and bro-in-law) around 5:20(ish) am. Not a whole lot of action for the first several miles. We are starting things up in Southern New Jersey, the homeland of all three adventure seekers. The goal is to get to Portland in 5 days (4 of which are actual traveling days). 3000 miles. 4 days. That averages to 750 miles/day. Youch. So we’ll start at Dawson Street in Moorestown, New Jersey. Land in Fitchburg, Wisconsin and crash with the fantastic Dawson family. Funny coincidence that we’re leaving one Dawson and heading to another; even more ironic – Meghann is a dirty jersian too! Keep On Keeping On.

Mike claims he sought permission from Kate about this ‘double wide taco’ and that it passed the burrito pact, but the flatulence that followed proved it indeed did not.
