I made my homemade pizza and the girls wanted it cut into squares to be like the Chicago pizza. Kait fell asleep watching Baby Einstein the day after Christmas. From Our Neck of the Woods. Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Williamsburg, VA - August 2011. So I know things are a bit out of order now - I have got a lot of catching up to do on this blog that I neglected pretty much all last year. We went on a wonderful vacation to Virginia - a couple of days after Hurricane Irene slammed into the East Coast so for the first day, Williamsburg was closed - no electricity! From Our Neck of the Woods. Thursday, July 26, 2012. Caroline's 8th Birthday - 2012. So we made a cake for her and invited the neighbors over after dinner to share cake. Then this summer, Caroline decided she wanted to have her party at the theatre so we invited 3 friends over and Doug took our big girls and the friends to see Brave. From Our Neck of the Woods. Thursday, July 26, 2012. Mountains of Virginia - August 2011. So after the hurricane made any coastal driving/vacationing impossible for a few days, we decided to drive to VA the long way and go through the mountains on the west side of the state. We stayed over night in the mountains, and toured the Shenandoah Caverns in the morning. (Daring, I know, seeing as there was an earthquake in Virginia a few days earlier! Museum of moving window displays. Lunch outside in Monticello.

From Our Neck of the Woods. Thursday, July 26, 2012. More VA 2011 Vacation - Busch Gardens! This was our first time at Busch Gardens and it was fantastic! We went two days and all 5 of us a great time. We spent the hot days getting wet on water rides and spending time in the kiddie water playground between big rides. Nicole LOVES the roller coaster, Apollo's Chariot! Kait liked the kiddie rides and water park. Oh, and she loved her chocolate-covered graham cracker at the end of the day. :-).
