November 11, 2004. Better to be poor than to be a fat man in the eye of a needle. Had an interesting link today to a report about state's relative generosity index. He gives props to the red states, which generally are ranked higher. I think there's something else interesting in there. While red/blue is interesting, check out the rich/poor. All of the top 10 income states are in the bottom half with regards to their giving. The 10 poorest states are all in the top half with regards to their giving. From ...

http://www.foulweather.org/archives/2005/08/a-visit-to-the-apple-store.php
Laquo; Previous Entry. A visit to the apple store. Nico gets bonding time with Otis all day, I have to settle for the evenings when she makes a b-line for the gym and the O man and I are left to amuse ourselves. So yesterday we decided to take stroll down the 3rd Street promenade and, like true manly men, we couldn't resist paying a visit to the Apple store. And what would a visit to the Apple store be without using their cool cameras and computers for gratuitous videography. So here ya go.

September 10, 2004. A Letter to Who? So there's this guy named Bruce Weber. Nicole tells me that he is a famous photographer. A famous fashion photographer - Calvin Klein, Vanity Fair, that sort of fare. Well, last night we went to see a movie by this chap, and I must say - he is a good photographer, but a horrible philosopher. A LETTER TO TRUE is a stunning look at the affection, loyalty, and unconditional love displayed by [dogs] which the filmmaker sees as a metaphor for peace and hope in the world.
