The Hillfort Study Group. AGM and Autumn Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Institute of Archaeology, Oxford. The AGM takes place in the morning starting at 11.30am (coffee from 11.00am) followed by an introduction to the 2017 field trip. The Hillfort Study Group. Gary Lock and Ian Ralston have obtained an AHRC grant to develop an Atlas of Hillforts of Britain and Ireland. Click on the link to read the project summary and aims. The A.G.M. is held in Oxford in November and is followed by a number of lectures on recent research or fieldwork on hillforts, mostly in Britain, but occasionally on sites from other areas of the world.
