It is a beach I have visited often while growing up, but not one that I've ever walked all the way to the left hand point. It didn't look that far. But 3.5 hours and some 16 kilometres later we realised it really is quite a distance. We got back to the car at 8.45pm, just on sunset. Our puppy had lots of fun playing in the sand.
