An Estonian family of 5 enjoying the best of Oman. Friday, January 31, 2014. Dayqat dam is said to be the largest in Oman and yes, it was impressive! After walking around and taking photos we also enjoyed some picnic in the wadi, just like many other locals. We had another wonderful day out :). Impressive sights to the surroundings. An Estonian family of 5 enjoying the best of Oman. Saturday, December 13, 2014. On Friday we chose Wadi Al Hawqayn as our destination. It is situated around 160 km from Muscat, near Ar Rustaq. It has been described as one of the most beautiful wadis with year-round streams and waterfalls. Indeed, on both sides of wadi there are lots of green spots, there were lots of streams and finally we also saw some waterfalls. Look! The road leads to the wadi. Waterfalls that are "created" by falaj irrigation system.

In some time he texted me he could give our passports to the border guy and our passports were at least on his table. Sounded promising, eh? On Friday we discovered a bit of the surroundings. We drove to Jebel Al Jais (Jais Mountain) and enjoyed a beautiful view over the area to the sea as well as mountains on the other side. But oh, it was. In the 3.
