Trail and Park Reviews: Rocks favorite Colorado hiking trails
http://trailparkreviews.blogspot.com/2014/05/rocks-favorite-colorado-hiking-trails.html
Saturday, May 17, 2014. Rocks favorite Colorado hiking trails. It's been an outrageous amount of time since I updated this blog and I miss it! In the last two years, I've spent some time hiking Front Range trails, mostly trails already on this blog, with a toddler. So, that actually means, I walk about a mile, it takes a very long time, and I don't get to properly document the trail. These are in no particular order. Please click on the link to get to the trail info. Bear Peak, Boulder. Subscribe and rec...

Trail and Park Reviews: Royal Arch in Boulder Colorado
http://trailparkreviews.blogspot.com/2010/04/royal-arch-in-boulder-colorado.html
Friday, April 16, 2010. Royal Arch in Boulder Colorado. Did you know there is a huge rock arch formation in Boulder, Colorado; similar to the arches found in Utah? This huge rock formation is worth the long steep hike to reach it for the incredible views of Boulder and the Flatiron Mountains. The warm spring air makes me very excited to wake up early, get out the door and on the trail! For all the hikes I have done in this state, Boulder is one place that I have not hiked very much. Th. I woke up early o...

Trail and Park Reviews: Bear Peak, Boulder Colorado, How far can your feet take you?
http://trailparkreviews.blogspot.com/2010/01/bear-peak-boulder-colorado.html
Sunday, January 17, 2010. Bear Peak, Boulder Colorado, How far can your feet take you? I started the hike from the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) trailhead parking lot. Click here. Mountains beside the NCAR building to the trailhead. There are no bathrooms at this parking lot. A short time later the trees begin to thin out and you can see through the trees down into. I could see from Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs, to Longs Peak in Estes Park to the west, and Denver, Boulder, and the air...

Trail and Park Reviews: Leyden, Colorado hiking trail
http://trailparkreviews.blogspot.com/2013/05/in-my-quest-to-find-new-hikes-near.html
Thursday, May 16, 2013. Leyden, Colorado hiking trail. In my quest to find new hikes, near the metro area, that are at least semi-toddler friendly, I stumbled across a trail outside of Leyden, Colorado - which is fairly close to Arvada just off Hwy 93 between Golden and Boulder. Looking down at the parking lot, and across the street is where the coyotes were howling! Looking at the trail from above, down into the valley. What are these, anyone? This was hiked in April, still no signs of spring yet here!

http://trailparkreviews.blogspot.com/2012/10/upper-maxwell-falls-hiking-in-evergreen.html
Monday, October 1, 2012. Upper Maxwell Falls, Hiking in Evergreen Colorado. The lower Maxwell Falls trailhead is one of the most popular on my website and I wanted to put up another post about it, this time I went to the Upper Maxwell Falls instead of the Lower Falls as I hiked here. I actually hiked this trail mid-September, but am just now posting about it, the little lady keeps me so busy these days! The Upper Maxwell Falls Parking lot can be found on a google map here. Near the parking lot, shortly a...

Monday, January 21, 2013. Palmer Lake Colorado, Hike the Reservoir Trail. Wow, in the entire time I've had this blog, I don't think its been this. This hike was done back in November, before all the illness began. We had planned on taking a small weekend getaway to Monument, Colorado and decided to hike the Palmer Lake Res Trail that took us to 2 reservoirs just outside of the town in the mountains. N39 7184 W104 55.367. The start of the trail is just past these buildings. Views of the Lower Res. We hike...

Trail and Park Reviews: Review of Cloud Rest Base Layer Top from Mountain Mama, Expecting Adventure
http://trailparkreviews.blogspot.com/2012/11/review-of-cloud-rest-base-layer-top.html
Thursday, November 29, 2012. Review of Cloud Rest Base Layer Top from Mountain Mama, Expecting Adventure. Several weeks ago I was given the opportunity to test out and review two items from one of my favorite maternity/nursing clothing companies, Mountain Mama Expecting Adventure. Let me set the record straight, I am not pregnant). Its been so warm in Colorado, and their Base Layer Top is so snuggly, that I haven't had the chance to properly hike in it, until our trip to Monument, Colorado last weekend.

View Hiking Trails and Camping. In a larger map. September 29, 2014 at 10:53 AM. Just found your site today. Nice job, its just what I was looking for. I had a question about your map, are the pins color coded or is it random? September 29, 2014 at 2:49 PM. Hi Greg, thanks. The pins are color coded, loosely. The pink are 14ers. The yellow are just trails, and the purple are parks. The tents are campgrounds. Anything else is blogger not cooperating with me. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). An easy family h...

Friday, August 22, 2014. Miners Creek trail to Peak 6, Frisco and Breckenridge Colorado, Tenmile Range. Me, standing in an amazing field of flowers! Now, enough gushing, onto the posting. Is the link to the 2nd parking lot on google maps. Huge disappointment. What are your favorite hiking apps? I got just a few shots of this amazing valley. Here are a few of my favorites. After lunch we continued up the trail, which has a long steep section from the valley until you reach above the treeline. You can see ...
