Jonathan Hirsch's Blog – The Story of Hirsch Guitar. Some Lovely Photos From World Guitars. Radio Interview →. Looking Back on Last Year. January 20, 2013. Well 2012 turned out to be quite a year. We built the first production batch. Of five guitars, exhibited at the Bristol Guitar Show, where we got a fantastic response from visitors to our stand, and got a write-up in Guitarist Magazine. Who featured us with a double-page-spread in their First Play section (issue #358) and did a nice little video.

Jonathan Hirsch's Blog – The Story of Hirsch Guitar. The First Five Coming Along Nicely. Travelling With The SB-1 →. June 9, 2011. I recently had the pleasure of meeting David Gilmour, the upshot of which was that he borrowed the SB-1 production prototype for a week or so and liked it! It all came about when my friend Chris. Feedback from him. So off we trotted, Chris, Julia. And I and sure enough, the rumours were true. Now, anyone who’s ever met their guitar hero (or any other hero for that matter) can...

Jonathan Hirsch's Blog – The Story of Hirsch Guitar. David Gilmour →. The First Five Coming Along Nicely. June 9, 2011. The first five production guitars are almost ready, and I’m so pleased with the way they’re coming along. Here’s a couple of pictures of some of them stained but not yet lacquered. Those one-piece maple caps are going to look stunning! Stained and ready for lacquer - three of the first five production SB-1s. Close-up of the one-piece maple cap. Just a few weeks to go now. From 2D to 3D.

Jonathan Hirsch's Blog – The Story of Hirsch Guitar. The Production Prototype →. From 2D to 3D. September 17, 2009. The last couple of months have seen my 2D drawings go back and forward a few times between me and Martin. We’ve been discussing some of the finer points and making a few tweaks, ironing out some details of the neck joint and trem cavity. Next step is to build an actual production prototype a fully finished, playable, guitar that will to all intents and purposes be the finished thing. So...

Jonathan Hirsch's Blog – The Story of Hirsch Guitar. From 2D to 3D →. June 17, 2009. Things always take longer than intended. After several months of working on some new drawings for the CNC model, they’re finally ready to go. Partly the delay was due to me being very busy with my other work (the paying day job), but also it was because the process threw up some interesting challenges and decisions that needed careful thought. Jonathan Hirsch's Blog – The Story of Hirsch Guitar. Custom Metalwork →. Finally Got the VS100. September 23, 2010. Still no sign of the Gotoh parts coming back into stock in the UK, so I decided to order the VS100 trem from the US instead.
