Friday, February 19, 2010. We recently took the kids to the Kentwood Fun Spot to try out rollarskating. What I was assured was "family hour" turned out to be teenage kids and ghetto music. There is a place in Grandville that plays Christian music-I think we may try that next time! Even though she was completely AWFUL at skating, she had fun. Mike and I took turns dragging her around the rink. As long as it wasn't too busy they allowed strollers. Chase even got in on the fun! Saturday, February 6, 2010.

Sunday, January 1, 2012. This year we rang in the New Year in Holland. With 10 other families. We stayed at the Double Tree. Our rooms all opened onto the pool area. Monday, August 9, 2010. New Adventures in Hiking. This past Sunday, Mike, the kids, and I decided to try our hand at hiking. Our first adventure was the Hall Lake trail in the Yankee Springs area. Chase loved his new ride! Audra did great as well. I thought for sure she would tire-but she did well for the most part. Her tennies could have been a size (or 2-oops) larger. The scenery was great. Thursday, March 24, 2011. I purchased a season pass to the Frederick Meijer Garden's this year. I took Lori and her kids to see the butterflies. Perhaps he is sick of posed shots! Perhaps Lydia is sick of being stuck in the stroller all the time? We were trying to get a nice photo of all the kids together. The boys refused to sit down. Saturday, January 14, 2012. The kids want to go out and play in all of the snow. Mike is downstairs taking a class, and I am waaay to busy with pinterest! So anyways. I am on pinterest and come across a snow icecream recipe. Time to bring the snow inside. Way better than taking myself outside to the snow. You need one cup of sweetened condensed milk. 1/2 cup of sugar. Stir it all together until the sugar melts. Add 5 cups of snow. And icecream we got! And yummy too :). January 18, 2012 at 7:14 PM.

Monday, October 28, 2013. Just an update. Lily is not 5 days post surgery. She seems to be doing well. She is off pain meds (not even Tylenol any more), wanting to play and jump - giving me near heart-attacks as I am terrified she will land on her face and split her new lip! She continues to be able to eat bite-sized stuff and is talking nearly as much as ever. And her eyes still smiled :-). I have been very emotional and having a rather hard time. I do not want her to feel that she has a "defect.".
