SEARCH BY PARISH NAME. Monuments of all shapes and sizes. Some of the earliest Christian memorials in Scotland are found in Dumfries and Galloway. Most of the early crosses have been moved in to museums or churches to protect them from the weather and include the Latinus Stone at Whithorn and the Kirkmadrine Stones near Sandhead.
