Historic Stitcher: 2010 Wrap-up, part 1
http://historicstitcher.blogspot.com/2011/01/2010-wrap-up-part-1.html
Ramblings about knitting, historic clothing, mothering a youngling, and whatever the latest obsession of the moment happens to be. Monday, January 03, 2011. 2010 Wrap-up, part 1. While I'm putting together my first-ever crafting year in review photo post, I thought I'd distract you with some pictures of other things from the end of 2010. Finally, someone complained about tghe lack of social events on Christmas Eve morning. The wine wasn't done yet (and still isn't! So I bought nice chocolate instead....

http://historicstitcher.blogspot.com/2010/12/countdown-and-challenges.html
Ramblings about knitting, historic clothing, mothering a youngling, and whatever the latest obsession of the moment happens to be. Wednesday, December 22, 2010. It's been. difficult. this week, trying to get ready for the holidays. The kids were fabulous, and helped me get the house in order on Saturday so we could put up the tree and decorate for Christmas in between going to a Penance service at 11am and my/Little Brother's combined birthday dinner that evening. Over the next hour, we watched the progr...
Historic Stitcher: Working and Spinning
http://historicstitcher.blogspot.com/2012/09/working-and-spinning.html
Ramblings about knitting, historic clothing, mothering a youngling, and whatever the latest obsession of the moment happens to be. Friday, September 21, 2012. Getting back into the blogging habit is not as easy as I had thought it would be. My new work is ramping up fast, and is keeping me. Busy throughout each day. I have people I need to talk to in all the US time zones, so my phone often rings far after local "working hours" are over. But that is what voicemail is for, right? As for craftiness, I have...
Historic Stitcher: OK, so I've been busy
http://historicstitcher.blogspot.com/2012/02/ok-so-ive-been-busy.html
Ramblings about knitting, historic clothing, mothering a youngling, and whatever the latest obsession of the moment happens to be. Thursday, February 09, 2012. OK, so I've been busy. I bought a house. Two deals fell through due to stupid reasons within the banks. The house I bought was severly under-appraised, and we had to re-negotiate. And I had to find extra cash to bridge the gap. A home. And a trashed credit score. Crap Good thing I don't need to buy anything big right now! Michigan, United States.
Historic Stitcher: Plugging Away
http://historicstitcher.blogspot.com/2013/02/plugging-away.html
Ramblings about knitting, historic clothing, mothering a youngling, and whatever the latest obsession of the moment happens to be. Thursday, February 14, 2013. I'm keeping busy, that's for sure! It's amazing how much extra time you have in your day when you don't have to drive 2 hours a day for work. Of course, working for myself, that extra 2 hours often gets sucked into work time. But I wouldn't swap for a corporate nine-to-five again, either. Her big brother got Spidey designs. I'm almost done with a ...

http://highflyinsm.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
This is here to give my non crafty friends a break from my knitting ramblings. :). Sunday, September 28, 2008. I feel like a kid. There is something about eating firecracker Popsicle that makes me feel like I am 5 again. Still with the way my throat has been feeling I think I deserve it. I've been so sick this week, first the flu and now what I suspect is strep, I just can't win. So tomorrow I am off to the doctor, and the home with my knitting and daytime t.v. (it's my day off! Monday, September 22, 2008.
ramblings...: July 2008
http://highflyinsm.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
This is here to give my non crafty friends a break from my knitting ramblings. :). Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Well I'm back, after a rather eventful flight and several broken planes (none of which was my fault). Suffice to say I was supposed to be home at 4:30, and at 3:30 was boarding a plane in Maine. :). I also god some knitting done, though not as much as I hopped, and most of it was done in the airport today. Why did none of you say I was taking on way to much? So here we go! Finally down in front is 2...

Rebecca. Knitting. Art. Design. Cat cat cat. Laquo; hello world. She was my best friend in the whole world. She was my mentor, my aide, my unflappable supporter who believed in me even when I didn’t. She personally saw me through five surgeries. She drove me crazy with her logic. She poked me in the tummy when I was down, when I was happy, and whenever she thought I needed a good poking. She helped me with the yarn business, helped me when I broke bones, helped me achieve my dream of moving to Chicago.
ramblings...: the lies we tell ourselves

This is here to give my non crafty friends a break from my knitting ramblings. :). Wednesday, August 12, 2009. The lies we tell ourselves. Sadness especially since I am really slow at lace to begin with. I am about to jump on the bandwagon and make the noro scarf. Ooh, sorry about the lace, that stinks. Im about to jump on the bandwagon, too, and knit the Noro scarf. Though in my case it will be the Not Noro scarf because I bought the widsom yarn at Sandis shop.hope youre doing well! I'm a freelance stag...

Purple shawl, purple scarf, and purple socks! The socks took me FOR-EVE-R! Bu I am happy to report they are done! They are comfy, and pretty, and being corn fiber will prevent my feet from getting stinky whilst running my butt of at work. YAY! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Mind The Gap Productions. Really I have been crafting I swear! First up the Daisy baby sweater by Yarn Harlot. Yarn: Little Leigh in spring green. Made for: Eleana Christine Lawton my new baby cousin. I knew they were having a girl, but I have issues with pink and blue and color gender identity so I went for green with flower buttons.

Historic Stitcher
Ramblings about knitting, historic clothing, mothering a youngling, and whatever the latest obsession of the moment happens to be. Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Things change. Life changes. And so do my obsessions. What do I mean by that? I got into it when I started researching knit stockings in the time period. Blackwork embroidery? Same thing. Even machine embroidery was something I could use to recreate something from that time period. In 2010 I started sketchbooking. Sketching from life and waterc...
