Later that afternoon we arrived at the Mount Barnett Roadhouse and checked in to the Manning Gorge campground. We didn’t swim on this day, but sat and had our picnic lunch watching others enjoy the waterfalls. We camped at a free roadside stop called Spring Creek located just near the turn off for the road into the Purnululu National Park. The first part is a wide flat bitumen area, but if you follow the road a bit further down there is a lovely shaded area on the banks of the river to camp on. It was quite busy and although we’d arrived before lunch we got one of the last spots down near the river.
