Monthly Archives: June 2014. June 26, 2014. Day 15 – Flagstaff to Ruidoso. Today was always going to be a long day of driving. Why did today have to be such a long day of driving? There is nothing in New Mexico. We stopped in Albuquerque to watch the first half of the USA v Ghana game. There were a lot of fan watching the game, which was the highlight of Albuquerque. There is nothing else in Albuquerque. No wonder Walter White decided to start making meth. Music: Wave on Wave by Pat Green. June 26, 2014.

July 8, 2014. Day 21 – New Orleans. The first thing you want when you wake up in New Orleans is beignets from Cafe Du Monde. The 15 minute wait in line was well worth it. I had been once before and went again with my family. I would go again if I ever had to go back to New Orleans. We walked around New Orleans for 4 hours. The various pictures of the day are below. The long walk was awarded by some frozen Irish Coffee next to the Irish New Orleans Museum. Breakfast/Dessert: Beignets from Cafe Du Monde.

July 8, 2014. Day 17 – Austin. With some brisket sitting in our stomachs, we delayed seeing University of Texas to go to Barton Springs. This was a great decision. Spending around 2 hours in natural springs on a 95 degree was amazing. What an amazing resource to have in a city. Drink: Shiner Bock from Lucille on Rainey Street. No matter what you do, you are quickly reminded that you are in a desert. It was a fun day and you get to enjoy the great weather of Phoenix/Scottsdale after 8 PM. June 10, 2014. Day 8 – Yellowstone/Tetons/Jackson. Started the day off in Bozeman and drove through Yellowstone. The ultimate goal was to make it to a golf course in Jackson Hole by 5 PM to golf. July 8, 2014. Day 18 – Houston. After seeing UT in the morning, we headed to Houston to hang out with my other cousin Megan. We drove through the Height’s section of Houston, which was much more interesting/fun than I was expecting it to be. The highlights of the day were the food we ate.
