Kumeu River – Burgundy Killer? 為於紐西蘭北部奧克蘭，Kumeu River 由早於1937年已移居這地的克羅地亞家族Brajkovich經營，從這時Brajkovich已經開始種植葡萄，後於1986年才正式成立Kumeu River Wines，著力釀造具勃良弟風格的Chardonnay。直至今日，除釀造Chardonnay之外也有釀造Pinot Noir 及Pinot Gris，當然最受廣泛讚賞依然是其Chardonnay的出品。 Kumeu River 的Chardonnay 白酒分四種，包括從來自6個葡萄園混合釀成的Estate ，也有3個單一葡萄園Coddington、Hunting Hill及Mate’s Vineyard。釀造方法幾乎一致，全人手採摘、使用Indigenous yeast、在橡木桶陳年11個月、進行Malolatic Fermentation等等，這也符合了Kumeu River的釀酒理念 – 希望能用同一釀造方式去反映四款Chardonnay最原始樸實的風土條件. Pinot Noir葡萄酸度較高，容易令整體酸度過高，而且濃味的朱古力亦會打碎Pinot Noir 的細膩口感。若是重芝士味及硬身的芝士蛋糕(如Blueberry 或New York Cheese cake) 則可嘗試甜酒，如波爾多Sauternes 的貴腐酒、德國或加拿大的冰酒或意大利的Muscat 葡萄酒均是不錯的選擇，甚至可配搭甜度及酒精較高的砵酒。 June 4, 2013. 許多香檳都以Chardonnay、Pinot Noir 及Pinor Meunier 三種葡萄混釀而成，但也有純淨簡潔的Blanc de Blanc (多以100% Chardonnay 釀成) 及結構較堅實的Blanc de Noir (多以Pinot Noir 及Pinor Meunier 釀成)。 Blanc de Blanc 則適合配合經烹調的海鮮和雞肉，Blanc de Noir的酒體則和其他肉類匹配。 Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve NV Pinot Noir、Meunier及Chardonnay各佔約3成，是3家Heidsieck 之中最出色的非年份香檳，豐富而且有許多Chardonnay 的特點. Delamotte Brut NV – 50% Chardonnay、30% Pinot Noir 及20% Meunier，Delamotte突出香檳的純淨及帶有新鮮豐富的果香，是性價比極高的非年份香檳. Pierre Peter Brut NV Chardonnay 為主，和Delamotte風格有點相近也是突出香檳純淨舒適的風格. July 27, 2016.
