St Clement Oroppas Napa Valley 1995. 同樣是St Clement 酒莊旗艦紅酒,100% Cabernet Sauvignon. 雖然比Grant Burge的更舊6年但果香相對清新依然有活力,但紅李及野苺的味道漸漸偏向像乾果的味道,陳年應有的泥土、皮革及酸梨發展得恰到好處. 結構雖不算複雜多變但這中價的Napa 的確帶點驚喜. Kumeu River – Burgundy Killer? 為於紐西蘭北部奧克蘭,Kumeu River 由早於1937年已移居這地的克羅地亞家族Brajkovich經營,從這時Brajkovich已經開始種植葡萄,後於1986年才正式成立Kumeu River Wines,著力釀造具勃良弟風格的Chardonnay。 直至今日,除釀造Chardonnay之外也有釀造Pinot Noir 及Pinot Gris,當然最受廣泛讚賞依然是其Chardonnay的出品。 Kumeu River 的Chardonnay 白酒分四種,包括從來自6個葡萄園混合釀成的Estate ,也有3個單一葡萄園Coddington、Hunting Hill及Mate’s Vineyard。 釀造方法幾乎一致,全人手採摘、使用Indigenous yeast、在橡木桶陳年11個月、進行Malolatic Fermentation等等,這也符合了Kumeu River的釀酒理念 – 希望能用同一釀造方式去反映四款Chardonnay最原始樸實的風土條件. 許多香檳都以Chardonnay、Pinot Noir 及Pinor Meunier 三種葡萄混釀而成,但也有純淨簡潔的Blanc de Blanc (多以100% Chardonnay 釀成) 及結構較堅實的Blanc de Noir (多以Pinot Noir 及Pinor Meunier 釀成)。 Blanc de Blanc 則適合配合經烹調的海鮮和雞肉,Blanc de Noir的酒體則和其他肉類匹配。 Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve NV Pinot Noir、Meunier及Chardonnay各佔約3成,是3家Heidsieck 之中最出色的非年份香檳,豐富而且有許多Chardonnay 的特點. Delamotte Brut NV – 50% Chardonnay、30% Pinot Noir 及20% Meunier,Delamotte突出香檳的純淨及帶有新鮮豐富的果香,是性價比極高的非年份香檳. Pierre Peter Brut NV Chardonnay 為主,和Delamotte風格有點相近也是突出香檳純淨舒適的風格. July 27, 2016.
