Acci's Blog: Mayan Calendar Doom!!!!!!!
http://beware-the-flibbertigibbet.blogspot.com/2012/07/mayan-calendar-doom.html
Monday, July 30, 2012. Because of this complete unconnectedness, there is no easy way to predict how the two calendars will mesh up. We know that the day after August 31. Is always going to be September 1. And that the day before Thursday will always be Wednesday. But is September the 1. Going to be a Wednesday? Was a Saturday was five years ago, and it will be another six years from now before we get Saturday the 1. The reason why we usually mention the year as well is because we often are working withi...

Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Wolfstravaganza, the sequel! After the howling success of 2009's wolf statue event. The town decided to follow up in 2010 with. . .absolutely nothing. This resulted in enough disappointed murmuring that the town decided to try again in 2011, only that year they used tiny little identical statues that were scattered about within various stores. This was far less of a success than was the 2009 wolf hunt. Without further ado, the latest crop of wolves in Wolf Hills:. Sponsored by a...

Sunday, April 3, 2011. Some are odder than others, though. The infamous cave, from which wolves emerged to terrorise Daniel Boone! See, I told you so! There's even a lurking wolf outside of it. A sculpture, made out of rope. Supposed to be two dancers. What happens when you leave the town fountain running in the middle of Winter. Weird blobs and things! Labelled, for your convenience. A strange place to park your airplane. Hurrah, he is charring and consuming the flesh of our kin! View my complete profile.

Monday, November 8, 2010. Once upon a time, there was a mighty dragon. She lived in an old ruined castle in the woods. Being a dragon, she partook of such dragony activities as acquiring and stashing treasure. Since this treasure she acquired generally belonged pre-acquisition to other people, some of the locals got upset. They decided to take firm action. And then decided to run away quickly. Brave and noble knights were sought to deal with the kleptomaniac beast. Fighting off pirates. . . Eventually Bu...

Here's Mister Turtle, being all turtley! Mister Crayfish may or may not be at home at the moment, though his front door is wide open. Look, there's Mister Robin, being all camouflaged because he's sneaky! Madame Butterfly is out taking in some sunshine, too! The woodpeckers have been busy around here! We usually h...

Friday, August 26, 2011. Black Hole Production or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the LMC. Every now and then I still hear people wondering when and how the Large Hadron Collider. LHC) over in Europe is going to destroy the world. The usual suggested cause for our demise is the creation of black holes, which will swallow up the planet and doom us all to ultimate squishiness. I, however, am not worried about this. Why not, you ask? Well, since you asked so nicely. . . 2) The weak force. Because g...
