Sam's Hearing Life: GPS Navigation System
http://samshearinglife.blogspot.com/2008/09/gps-navigation-system.html
September 3, 2008. Ever since my best friend got in a bad car accident (don't worry - she's doing great now) because she was looking at a map trying to figure out where she was going, I am VERY thankful that I can hear my portable Navigation System telling me when to turn and where I'm going. Especially since I have really really really bad sense of direction! But I gotta say, this thing DEFINITELY comes in handy. it's also a great feeling knowing I'll always be able to find my way home! I would like to ...

Sam's Hearing Life: Strobe Lights
http://samshearinglife.blogspot.com/2008/09/strobe-lights.html
September 8, 2008. They just installed some Strobe Lights in my dorm and also in the bathroom for in case if there is a fire. The guys that installed it, tested it out to show me how it works. So basically when the smoke alarm goes off, the strobe light will make a really loud noise and flash a really bright light until the fire alarm goes off. So now, not only will you hear the normal smoke alarm noise, you'll also hear the strobe light blaring and see it flashing a really bright light. I enjoy mentorin...

http://samshearinglife.blogspot.com/2008/10/security-feature.html
October 10, 2008. But even though Berry and Rome seems to be a safe and "homey" campus, it was still kinda freaky. I immediately thought about those stories you hear on other campuses about people disappearing and what-not. So I was really thankful I could hear the footsteps behind me, becuase if I didn't. what could have happend? Kind of a freaky thought, I know. but you just never know these days. :/. I found your blog through the ci facebook group. Your blog is very good. View my complete profile.

Sam's Hearing Life: Living Apartment Style...
http://samshearinglife.blogspot.com/2009/01/living-apartment-style.html
January 3, 2009. I always laughed when people would complain about how they could hear their neighbors when they lived in apartments because I never really thought I would have to worry about it. I never really thought it would bother me because at night I would just take my hearing equipment off and I wouldn't hear anything. It was so annoying when I would be reading or just hanging out there when every ten minutes I'd hear someone honk their horn or hear the police or ambulance go by! I enjoy mentoring...

Welcome to: Bad News
http://skullchick.blogspot.com/2008/06/bad-news.html
Monday, June 9, 2008. Update anything since mainly because I was stuck. I didn't. Experience new sounds, heard people talking. Behind back or any of miraculous. CI moments for a month and half now, and last 2 weeks I haven't. Sensitive to sounds I get this headache-like pain located only left side of my head (implanted side) and during those 2 weeks break I get mild aching pain on the incision part that extend over the ear and the magnet spot. Know about the pain so I'm waiting on surgeon's response in e...
