The Palm Isle: Happy to be there
http://thepalmisle.blogspot.com/2010/02/happy-to-be-there.html
A Good Bar Here. Monday, February 22, 2010. Happy to be there. By the time I was back in the rocking chair with a beer and watching the replay of the game on Time Warner Sports, I was a little sad. I'll mark that with a smile. Coming down from the high of screaming along with 21,000 mostly upstaters as a man parachuted to center ice to the theme from Rocky? But I don't think that's it. It was ugly as piss. And it was everything we could have hoped for. We walked through and around the whole thing on our ...

islesinfo: Prospect Scouting; Silly Done?
http://islesinfo.blogspot.com/2009/01/prospect-scouting-silly-done.html
Monday, January 5, 2009. Prospect Scouting; Silly Done? I had an opportunity to see some college games this weekend. I watched the DU Cup and the final was between Denver and BU. Here's what I saw:. I watched him and yes, he's NHL calibre. Can do everything well. Scored a goal on the power play. He's BU's captain. I say sign him. He's another good mobile puck moving d-man. The Swede had the best WJC's of the four Islanders playing in the tournament. He is described as the Swedish version of Kirill Pe...

Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Goalie Woes, Dubie and Small Deal. Come on Bruno. That made it 2-1 and the Islanders couldn't get the equalizer. Even more interesting than that, it was reported shortly before the game by Newsday that the Islanders have been in contact with former goaltender Wade Dubielewicz. Dubie is reportedly in contact with two other teams. My guess is one of the other two teams could St. Louis. Once again, I have a college update from this past weekend:. He scored a goal and had an assi...

http://www.boltsblog.net/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Here is some info on the guy the Bolts will probably take in the draft. Victor Hedman is a 6'5" D Man who has been compared to the likes of Chris Pronger. He is from Ornskoldsvik in Sweden, the same hometown as Niklas Sundstrom, Peter Forsberg, Markus Naslund, Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin. Must be something in the water! Here are his stats from the past 2 seasons courtesy of Hockey DB:. Links to this post. Time for me to go. Links to this post. Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Assumin...
