Needless to say, gorgeous as it was, snowshoeing for 2.5km the day before my first Team in Training run made things a bit difficult.legs.so heavy.must.keep.going. But we got 'er done. Barely. Chronicle of a Stem Cell Transplant (and on through to the other side). Thursday, November 30, 2006. Hey, Big Spender. Well, this week I accidentally managed to sign myself and three friends up to do a half marathon. Not only that, but, Rishel was so excited, she signed herself up for the Honolulu Triathlon! We're not actually "running" until May, but I'm going to need that much time to recondition this beat-up body. Posted by Kirsten (not Kristen) at 6:46 PM. Tuesday, November 28, 2006. Rock on, Starbuck.

That said, while 2006 wasn't stellar, it does hold many fond memories for me. It also confirmed that I am surrounded by the most incredible family and friends. cancersmancer: July 2008
http://cancersmancer.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Chronicle of a Stem Cell Transplant (and on through to the other side). Thursday, July 10, 2008. Back In The Saddle (Well, Sort of.). It's been quite a month. As time passes, it also affirms my belief in the infinite life span of all energy on the planet. The idea that, while we may lose family and friends in their "earthly" form and this is indeed painful, our ability to keep them alive in our memories combined with the idea that energy doesn't die, but merely changes shape, is very comforting to me.

Chronicle of a Stem Cell Transplant (and on through to the other side). Wednesday, April 23, 2008. This last week has certainly been a whirlwind, but we managed to get everything done and are now relaxing (well, somewhat) in Montreal. I had an incredible few days before I left that included visits with family and friends, as well as a great morning with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. Group last Sunday. It was with Team in Training that I did the Vancouver Marathon last May. This is...

cancersmancer: February 2007
http://cancersmancer.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Chronicle of a Stem Cell Transplant (and on through to the other side). Tuesday, February 20, 2007. The retreats are organized four times a year by an organization called The Callanish Society. The lodge itself was beautiful and cozy, surrounded by about three feet of snow. I had a lovely room at the end of the hall in the main house. I left my window open all week so I could hear the gurgling creek below. In other news, I'm making progress with Team In Training. Only 29 more to call it a full marathon.

Chronicle of a Stem Cell Transplant (and on through to the other side). Friday, June 13, 2008. L'Oratoire Saint-Joseph, June 6th, 2008. Thank you all for your support and words of wisdom this past week. We are continuing to process Teresa's loss, and I guess that's all we can ask. We are so grateful for our upcoming visit home to family and friends. We will miss them. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

Chronicle of a Stem Cell Transplant (and on through to the other side). Tuesday, May 27, 2008. So Cheap They're Free. So, it appears that Ian and I were going to be the only ones at the Rush concert this Thursday in Vancouver. As I've written previously, I got tickets for Ian before we knew we were coming to Montreal, and we've been trying to get rid of them ever since with no luck, not even for free. Now, I totally understand why. Therefore, I beg, I plead. Being booked (this year is the 400th anniversa...
