Carpe Diem - Seize The Day! Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Fur Rondy: Snow Sculptures. Features several dozen amazing snow sculptures. I'm not exactly sure how they make these frozen works of art. Maybe next year we'll schedule some time to watch these creations taking shape. This sculpture reminds us of a scene from Holy Week, which we will celebrate in less than a month. The bald eagle almost looks like it could fly. Mammoth looms large over Liz. The crab seems to be a particular favorite with children.

Carpe Diem - Seize The Day! Thursday, July 28, 2011. A few weeks ago we had our community group over for a camp themed outing. We started out with a "floating boating lunch." We took packed lunches out onto the lake in canoes. Then we lashed our canoes together into a large floating lunch barge. At one point, I think we had 6-7 canoes tied together. Carpe Diem - Seize The Day! Wednesday, June 29, 2011. At mile 1,404 on the Alaska Highway, there's a place called the Silver Fox Roadhouse. It is one part, gas station, one part convenience store, one part taxidermy museum, and one part I'm not sure what. If you happen to be in area, it is worth a stop.
