                                        Girls in the coop. Blueberries in the summer. I was so happy to find two important ingredients for a happy life this summer: a new friend and local u-pick orchards.  I cant help but compare blueberry picking in Southern Illinois to blueberry picking in Oregon. 0160;The blueberries in Oregon were amazing.  The bushes were smaller and more contained, and the berries themselves were large.  Oh, and they were so very, very delicious. While we were on vacation in Oregon, we drove past numerous farms and were really excited about everything we saw. We finally decided to stop just outside of Portland at a pick-your-own fruit place, Hoffman Farms Store. Neither of us had tasted golden raspberries. PS - We also bought Rainier cherries.
