Haven of Hope for kids. Haven of Hope for Kids. Is a non-profit organization that offers no-cost country vacations to families caring for a child with a life threatening illness. The Haven of Hope program is a joint initiative of St. Luke’s. And St. Mary’s. Church, six major urban hospitals and Camp Sunshine in Casco, Maine. The children and families are selected by social workers from these hospitals, from Camp Sunshine, and from The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation.
