Spoonful of Nonsense: January 2015
http://spoonfulofnonsense.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 30, 2015. It's amazing how when you start taking more pictures of random things, those little moments get lost in the folders on the computer. This was one of those moments. We were having a beautiful day in California and there were bikes and a bike trailer in the garage so we decided to hitch it up and take a ride. Nixon was in Heaven, and loved the whole thing. We started out in our circle and went around the neighborhood. Have I mentioned how much I loved it there? While I was cleanin...

http://bethanyjexfamily.blogspot.com/2014/03/curtain-tutorial-diy.html
LOVE IS MEANT TO BE AN ADVENTURE. Wednesday, March 19, 2014. I have been wanting to add some color to our apartment for a while now. And I kept seeing these cute and easy curtain tutorials on Pinterest, so I gave them a try. I made some curtains for our bedroom and living room. They turned out really cute and they really brighten up the room. Here are some pictures of the finished project. In the living room. These are the two tutorials that I used to get started: Tutorial: DIY Curtains from a Bed Sheet.

The Thomas': Farewell to Lance
http://thethomasempire.blogspot.com/2015/07/farewell-to-lance.html
He stayed with us Tuesday night and Colton and I took him to the MTC on Wednesday. Calgary is one lucky place! What a remarkable man my brother has become. Lance's buddies that came for his farewell talk. Most of them aren't LDS. Such a great missionary already! Lance even got Thom Cook to cry. 4 generations of "Bunch". 4 generations of "Trimble". At the stoplight outside of the MTC, and Elder Bunch Wheeling off! Posted by Shannon Thomas. Subscribe to: Post Comments ( Atom ). A boy and his bubbles.

The Thomas': September 2014
http://thethomasempire.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
How blessed we were to have so much family here for Colton's blessing! Sarah came to stay with us for about a week before the blessing and we had a great time working on crafts for the nursery, going to the auction, thrift storing, and watching a few movies. Friday morning Jared and Dwayne went with uncle Loy to the church orchard out past Caldwell to glean fruit and they came back with a truckload of peaches! Then that afternoon my family came in (minus Skyler and Nicole, now both on missions! Finally S...

The Thomas': Colton's First Birthday Party
http://thethomasempire.blogspot.com/2015/08/coltons-first-birthday-party.html
Colton's First Birthday Party. I knew I wanted to do an "Up" party. My baby shower theme was "Up" and I had so many ideas after the fact that I just had to go all out for a party. I made the invitations and printed them with a little balloon picture on the envelope. Here's the whole table. I spent a while making the backdrop. 6 dollar store tablecloths, a rotary cutter, and lots of knots. Then Jared strung the balloons for the top the day of. (100 points if you can spy Penny! Colton loved his Smash Cake ...

Spoonful of Nonsense: Black Canyon Reservoir
http://spoonfulofnonsense.blogspot.com/2015/08/black-canyon-reservoir.html
Monday, August 3, 2015. We decided, one Saturday, to hit up Black Canyon Reservoir with my brother Derrick's boat. I decided I'd be the first one to jump on the tube. Holy mistake! First of all, I now know why no one else was jumping to go. Little did I know, his boat is a jet boat which means being on a tube consists of a brutal beating to your face by the powerful stream of water jetting from the back of the boat. It was MISERABLE! Cameron is always fun to watch, he's pretty good. We had an awesome tim...

The Thomas': August 2014

Two weeks in and this kid is already breaking my heart every day with how much he is growing and changing. Colt is so alert, he loves to be a part of the action. He is not a fan of falling asleep, he must think he is going to miss something. After my mom left Sunday night, it was the start to the first "stay at home mom" week, and we have definitely had our ups and downs. Such funny things motherhood does to you.I have never before talked about "tooting" in such depth, but babies sure incite a lot of...

The Thomas': November 2014
http://thethomasempire.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
We spent a few days in Parker just hanging out and relaxing, Colton absolutely adores his uncle Lance, he thinks he is the funniest person he has ever met, every time Colton heard Lance's voice he would giggle. As usual the wildlife in my parent's neighborhood was out and about. The neighborhood turkeys made and appearance on Thanksgiving and these deer were literally 5 feet away from me. Out and home in less than an hour! So Jared was just standing up waiting and waiting and about 20 minutes go by and t...
